2019 Falcons Cheerleading
The Durham / Middlefield Falcons Cheerleading program is an age/grade based cheer program for children aged 5 - 14 yrs old and in grades K - 8th, living in Durham, Middlefield, Rockfall, Middletown, and Wallingford. Our squads cheer at all of our Sunday football games during the season, and compete in 1-2 competitions.
During the season, participants will work on proper cheer technique, spirit, jumps, tumbling, dance and stunting. Our program focuses on building a strong sense of community and teamwork between the different level squads. Through our focus on safety, fun, and teamwork, we help our athletes develop team bonds, confidence, and cheer skills. The cheer registration fee for the season is $140. (Additional participants in the same family are $100.)
There will be a uniform fitting at the end of July. Our program provides the uniform skirt, vest, and warm-up jacket for our athletes to use, and must be returned at the end of the season. Our program provides the team bow and socks to our athletes at no extra charge, and can be kept at the end of the season. Additional uniform components that are required (and must be purchased by the athletes) are: white turtleneck bodysuit, black boy-cut bloomers, and white cheer sneakers. As a courtesy to our families, we will size the girls for any components they may need, and make one program order from a cheer gear supplier. Should you need to purchase all 3 items, it will cost about $45 total.

Mascots - Kindergarten / 1st grade ( 5 & 6 year olds) Must be at least five (5) years of age prior to December 31st of the cheering year, and cannot turn seven (7) years of age prior to December 31st of the cheering year. Mascots can be registered to cheer on any of the 4 squads, but can only participate in competition if registered on the Mighty Mite level.
Might Mites - 2nd / 3rd grade ( 7 & 8 year olds) Cheerleaders must be at least seven (7) years of age prior to December 31st of the cheering year, and cannot turn nine (9) years of age prior to December 31st of the cheering year.
C Squad - 4th / 5th grade ( 9 & 10 year olds) Cheerleaders must not turn eleven (11) years of age prior to December 31st of the cheering year.
B Squad - 6th / 7th grade ( 11 & 12 year olds) Cheerleaders must not turn thirteen (13) years of age prior to December 31st of the cheering year.
A Squad - 8th grade ( 13 & 14 year olds) Cheerleaders must not turn fifteen (15) years of age prior to December 31st of the cheering year, and may not be rostered on a high school cheer squad.
